If you have a business in Canberra or are thinking about starting one, the Access Canberra Business Assist Team can help you. We're here to assist you in understanding the permits, licenses, and approvals you might need to start or grow your business.

We work closely with Access Canberra’s licensing and regulatory areas and other ACT Government teams to connect you with the right resources.

We can provide free tailored support for:

  • fixed-premises businesses
  • mobile businesses
  • home-based businesses
  • online businesses.

Services offered

We offer various support options to suit your needs, including phone or email support, and in-person appointments (scheduled and drop-in).

  • Drop-in appointments: Every Thursday from 10am – 11am at the Woden Service Centre.
  • Scheduled appointments: Book a meeting at a convenient time.

We can help you to find information about:

  • licences (for example, liquor licence, pet business licence)
  • permits and approvals (for example, hawkers permit)
